WELCOME TO PHOENIX FESTIVAL 2025!
As I write this, scores of actors, musicians, dancers, writers, directors,
choreographers, musicians, and composers are rehearsing and working to create
magic to share on the festival’s many stages. Such bountiful offerings from these
critically acclaimed, award-winning, world-class performers all gathered here for
your enjoyment in this beautiful riverside village for 14 days, ready to share their
stories and artistry with you.
Throughout time, humans have come together for stories, dance, and music,
to celebrate, share, and remember that we’re more alike than different, that the
things we hold dear, the joys and sorrows, triumphs, and challenges in life, are
common to all of us. No matter who we are individually, we’re all part of this grand
community of life.
Community is what the Phoenix Festival is all about. Community coming
together to experience live performing arts and creating economic opportunity
for the businesses of this wonderful river town and county. Nyack itself has so
much to offer with its one of kind shops, restaurants, hotels, and vibrant art scene.
The Phoenix Festival is a community partnership and proof that when we work and
dream together, we can create beautiful things that bene昀椀t everyone.
I hope you’ll have an opportunity to see all of these wonderful performances.
Be sure to reserve your seats now, some of our venues have limited seating and
each offering has only one performance. It is our dream that one day, all the
performances we present will always be free to everyone, but for such large
dreams, we need even larger funding. We are a non-pro昀椀t professional arts organization, so if you also believe, as I do, that live performances should be bread for all
the people and not just cake for the few, I hope you will gift us with your presence
in the audience for performances and with your gifts as a supporter and donor.
In venues all over the Village of Nyack, large and small, you can enjoy
non-traditional stages 昀椀lled with performances designed to bring wonder and
delight, laughter and tears, the thrill of dance and music, and language as delicious
as your favorite food. We’re thrilled to invite you into the room. Because you, our
cherished audience, truly are the reason why we’re here.
