actors for two readings with the Phoenix Theater Ensemble and performed in an immersive
theater experience as part of Domestic Violence Awareness month at the Hopper House.

ANTONIO EDWARDS SUAREZ (John Proctor)
Antonio Edwards Suarez is an award-winning writer, award nominated

ELI WASSERTZUG (Mary Warren)
Eli Wassertzug is an NYC-based actor and singer originally from the
DC area with a BA in Drama from Vassar College. They are a resident
artist with The Firebird Project, a member of the Artists Advisory
Committee for Notch Theatre Company, and a summer teaching
artist for Traveling Players Ensemble; they have also recently
appeared in the city as part of the 2025 cohort of The 24 Hour Plays
Nationals. When not on stage or screen, you can 昀椀nd them agonizing over how to come
across both immaculately professional and down-to-earth relatable in their bio, or tuning
out the world with a sci-昀椀/fantasy novel (recommendations welcome!). Eli aims to create
inclusive, collaborative, and spectacular art that challenges entrenched systems of power,
especially gender.
